Blackened Shrimp Alfredo
Ingredients:
6-8 Jumbo Shrimp (peeled and de-veined)
1 tsp. Spice Bouquet Blackening Seasoning
½ tsp. Fresh chopped garlic or ½ tsp. Spice Bouquet Minced Garlic
½ tsp. Fresh chopped green onion or ½ tsp. Spice Bouquet Minced Onion
½ cup heavy whipping cream
½ cup fresh grated parmesan cheese
1 cup cooked Penne or other pasta
½ tsp. Caritá Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Method of Preparation:
Heat olive oil in a medium sauté pan over medium heat. Dust shrimp with the Spice Bouquet Blackening Seasoning. In a sauté pan, place blackened shrimp on each side for 1 to 1 ½ minutes. Add fresh garlic and onion. Toss for 20 seconds and add heavy cream. Begin to reduce cream by 1/3 and add pasta and parmesan cheese. Toss and cook until sauce thickens. Plate and serve. Top with fresh grated parmesan cheese and a pinch of Spice Bouquet Black Seasoning.
Serve with a salad.
